Midweek Motivation: Don't Be Tired; Be Inspired!
Mar 09, 2022
Launching on March 10!! Look out in your inbox for details
Hi there!
Do you have a big dream but can't "seem to find the time and energy" to work on it? You might not be tired, dear reader, you might just be uninspired!
I know a woman who worked on her PhD for 6 years, part time, as the principal of a large school. She worked from 3 am - 5 am every day because her time was not her own after those two hours. With a husband and a family plus a school to run, she had to discipline herself to work when she could. And she did it you know - slowly yet steadily - because her goal was to cross that stage to receive her doctorate in 6 years.
You can do the same thing too. Let me prove it to you. If I offered you half a million dollars to work on your dream and accomplish it in 12 months - you would get to work, wouldn’t you?
You would immediately decide on how you would complete your dream; you would drop all unnecessary activities and you would make sacrifices with your time and your resources in order to get that half a mil, wouldn’t you? And why? Because the end has inspired you!
There are two lessons here:
- Make the goal valuable enough to keep you inspired. Not every goal will lead to half a million dollars, but it could lead to a lot more money; or a once in a lifetime opportunity, or some other big thing! Find that big WHY and keep it top of mind.
- A dream is a goal with a deadline! In the example above, you knew that you had 12 months, and you immediately set to work with that end in mind. Give your dream a deadline; plan how to get there, and get there.
If this little article spoke to you and you want to explore how to pursue your one goal, I have a new resource for you! My new course drops tomorrow and I am super excited to get it into your hands. Watch in your inbox for the details :)
